Happy Birthday Nurse Esperanza

Today is Esperanza’s birthday. We are so proud of what she’s accomplished. We wish her the best on her birthday and hope that it is filled with family, friends, and love.

Esperanza entered the scholarship program in 2017 as a high school student. After high school she pursued a nursing degree. She has received that degree and this is an update from her about what’s been going on in her life. I love it when we get these beautiful letters from our alumni. 💜

Good morning, I hope you are all well. 
It's been a long time since I wrote my last letter. I wanted to tell you a little about my life these days.

I'm still working at the Ioptics ophthalmology clinic, where they perform consultations and surgeries. Thanks to the doctor's support, I'm just a month away from finishing my ophthalmology diploma program, which has helped me learn and improve a lot at work. Even though the eye may seem like a small part of the body, there's so much to learn. I'm still working on getting a specialization, because my job makes it a bit difficult. I might have to leave this good job to achieve that goal... 

The days have flown by. I stop to reflect on where I am now, and I'm amazed at how far I've come, the unexpected things happening in my professional life, and all I can think about are you. Thank you so much! Because you made all of this possible. 
I could never find the words to express my gratitude to each and every one of you, my angels.
